Her raspy voice, wild life style and the fact that she is one of the most famous members of the 27 club have given her the status of a legend. She sang Kris Kristofferson’s Me and Bobby McGee with such power that she almost made it her own, and that’s the way she sang most songs. When listening to her versions of various songs you almost forget that someone else did the original version. Why is she cool? It’s Janis Joplin!
