Nr. 71 – Frida Öhrn

Swedish singer of the bands Oh Laura and Cookies and Beans. She is the kind of singer that I would like to give a list of my favourite songs to, fix her up with a good producer and some good musicians and I’m certain the result would be fantastic. I love her voice and I would really like to hear more from her. Unfortunately I’m not that fond of the records she already appears on. On the plus side, though, she’s got that playful spark in her eyes when she sings. I like her cover of Dixie Chicks’ Sin Wagon but with the risk of being dull and unimaginative I have to show the clip of her singing Oh Laura’s Release Me. Why is she cool? Listen to that voice. I think that will do for an answer.
