It is difficult finding good clips of her on YouTube, at least of her singing my favourites. She started her career as a musician relatively late compared to many others in the business, releasing her first album at the age of 32. She writes beautiful songs and I like her voice. But this is not a list of female musicians that I like. So, back to the question, why is she cool? She had the guts to follow her dreams at an age of 32 starting a career in a business that focuses and glorifies youth, where everyone is constantly searching for the next new, young star. Luckily she made it and is now playing with Robert Plant on his latest album Band of Joy.
